Twenty seven
Three things I witnessed in the past week:
1. A cat went to poop in front of a shop when a dog came by and gave her a shock. I’ll call the dog ‘Doug” and the cat “Kiti”. Doug is probably a stray, looking at his unkempt fur and possibly fleas creeping all over him (from all those scratchings). There he was, strolling along the lane when he saw Kiti leaving her poop without covering it, so he came to take a sniff. Kiti, unprepared for the sudden visit was startled (her body went into an upside down V-shape, ala, how those cats turn when they’re scared or startled), and she hissed out loudly. Doug, unaware of the cat’s fury, went back on sniffing the poop. In Kiti’s head “Ok, that’s the final straw! I’ve had it with dogs having no respect for us cats!” She went to Doug and gave him her best yowl that sent him scurrying away! Hahaha I kinda saw Cheri’s side in Kiti. She even has Cheri’s eyes! I’d really like to bring her back home but Ibu said no :(
2. I was answering some add maths questions, accompanying Ibu marking exam papers at the same time. Girl was seen lying on the cold floor, as usual, her body upside down showing her bare tummy (no fur still) and feet pointing upwards. Suddenly she climbed onto the table and crawled into a bag right next to me. I wasn’t really amused at first, because that’s what Girl and Cheri like to do when they see a bag, or a box, or anything that can fit their large body in. But after a few minutes, I was beginning to feel strange, something is weird here. “Why isn’t she moving at all?”, “Is she sleeping?” and all possible questions began to fill my mind. Usually she would make noises, shredding papers, playing with whatever’s inside the bag, shred papers, and yes, shred more papers. But she was quiet. No movements, no nothing. So I put my hand inside the bag and guess what I found? An egg! Telur pindang? Or whatever it’s called that Ibu forgot to take out was what she was licking the whole time! I then took the egg out, but she was still attached to the bag. Put my hand in again, and walla! Felt another egg at the bottom of the bag! Having no more eggs inside, Girl started to crawl back out and upon seeing the eggs now on the table, she leapt and held onto the egg with one paw and licked and licked, went on and on licking until Ibu picked the eggs up and hid them away from Girl’s sight. That’s when she went back to lying down on the floor, bare tummy in sight. Ish3.. I took a video of her with the eggs, but it’s with Ibu.
3. Ibu’s cute way of always getting the words wrong, till it becomes a word she always use even when she knows it’s not right. Drive-through becomes See-through. Xbox becomes Ice-box. Lol I always find it adorable when she does that. “Ha, nanti pergi see-through, senang je.” Or, “Simpan la Ice-box tu, jangan buat sepah rumah”. Then I would laugh silently in my head, thinking of how adorable my mom is when she gets the words wrong :D
